Thank you for your interest in serving with 2 to 1, a premarital ministry of North Point! 2 to 1 is a mentoring ministry that pairs a trained volunteer mentor couple with an engaged couple for six to eight mentoring sessions over a two- to three-month period. A structured curriculum provides excellent preparation in areas key to a successful marriage—communication, conflict resolution, finances, intimacy, and family. The PREPARE/ENRICH inventory, an online tool that assesses a couple’s strengths and growth areas, is also used.

The mission of the 2 to 1 ministry is to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ by building strong marriages based on biblical principles.

Because the role of the 2 to 1 mentors is full of opportunities for influence in the couples’ lives, we are intentional about selecting spiritually mature, emotionally and relationally healthy couples.

The requirements for becoming a 2 to 1 mentor are:

1. You must be married for five years or more.
2. You both are pursuing a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
3. You both demonstrate wisdom in your marriage.
4. You are both members of a North Point Ministries campus.

If you meet the above requirements, then the next steps are:

Application: You must each complete and return a Care Ministry application. To start the application, please click on the link below and request a username and password under the "Information" section.

PREPARE/ENRICH: Once the application has been returned, you will be scheduled to take the PREPARE/ENRICH inventory.

Interview: After you complete the PREPARE/ENRICH, you will be contacted for an interview with the 2 to 1 staff.

Training: We offer you a 3-hour training that provides you with the skills and knowledge needed to mentor engaged couples with competence and care. Additionally, ongoing training is provided three to four times a year to ensure that you are receiving current and relevant information to make you effective in helping engaged couples.

Apprenticing: After initial training, you will apprentice with an experienced mentor couple through the entire 2 to 1 process before being assigned an engaged couple of your own.
