Working as an LDP at NPCC was one of the biggest highlights in college. Looking back, I am so thankful to have worked under two amazing leaders—Jenny Boyett and Lauren Bray—on the Assimilation team. I learned so much about leadership, collaboration, hard work, and intentionality. I also learned so much about my wiring and strengths. This has been useful as I have carried this information with me over the years as a filter for which jobs to pursue. My time as an LDP set the standard for the environment I hoped to work in one day and challenged me to do excellent work no matter the task. If anyone were to consider being an LDP, I would encourage him or her without hesitation. It’s an opportunity to be mentored professionally and personally. I made great friends and benefitted from mentors, who I still keep up with! On top of all of this, being an LDP is fun!
At the beginning of my senior year at UGA, I struggled with deciding exactly what I wanted to do with the next year of my life. On one hand, I had dedicated four years to studying Interior Architecture and Design, but on the other hand, I felt something in my heart telling me that God had an adventure for me in a different direction. Right before graduation, I was presented with the opportunity to apply for the Leadership Development Program with Gwinnett Church InsideOut and decided to go for it. Little did I know that being an LDP would be one of the best choices I would ever make. The staff at Gwinnett Church invested in me spiritually, taught me the leadership culture of North Point Ministries and, most importantly, welcomed me into their family.
The Leadership Development Program is worth every minute. The content created is applicable to use not only in ministry, but also in life. The team created space for me to discover my talents and were intentional in leading me both personally and spiritually. I am truly honored to have had the opportunity to serve through the Leadership Development Program. If given the opportunity, I would gladly do this again!
My favorite part about the LDP program was getting to learn from some of the most knowledgeable and respected individuals at North Point. They were intentional about giving me opportunities to grow spiritually and professionally. Also, I met people that changed my life and would continue to impact my life for the next several years. My life is different in the best way possible because I decided to pursue the LDP program at North Point.
I had always wondered what goes on behind the scenes at North Point to make things happen. This opportunity gave me that perspective and so much more. Through the Leadership Development Program, I was able to work with and learn from various ministry teams. I truly loved being an LDP because it helped me develop as a leader personally, relationally, and professionally. It shaped my life in so many positive ways—especially my spiritual growth.
Being accepted into the Leadership Development Program at North Point was an incredible blessing in my life. The program provided personal training and development with some of the most gifted and caring people I’ve ever met. Not only did I gain invaluable professional development, I also received personal and spiritual guidance from my direct supervisor and the entire team. Needless to say, being an LDP accelerated my professional career and caused me to grow deeper in my relationship with Christ.
