Hi, I’m Missy. I serve as a camera operator on the Production Team.
Years ago, I was invited to North Point by a co-worker. I was in a dark place at the time. At my first visit, I looked up and saw cameras. I remember thinking, There are cameras in church? During that first service, there was also a baptism. I could relate to the individual’s story. And then I heard that this church wanted to be a church that unchurched people wanted to attend. I knew I was home.
Sometime later, I became interested in serving. I was interested in the Production Team. It’s now 10 years later, and I’m still serving. Interestingly, the camera that I looked up at the first day when I walked into North Point is the same camera that I operate when I serve.
In serving as a volunteer, I have learned so much. I’ve met so many beautiful people. I have learned to trust that “nudge” from God. There may be an initial hesitation or fear, but I’ve learned that when God leads, he will provide all you need.
I’m still in total awe that God has provided opportunities for me to serve in an environment that I love. I get to play a small part in a big mission. How cool is that?
