I’m Gwen, and I serve as a small group leader to a lovely group of 2-year-olds in Waumba Land.
I started volunteering in Waumba Land in 2017. I had attended the 11:00 a.m. service every week for a while and enjoyed the experience. I knew it was time for me to give back. Now I look back and ask myself why it took me so long to volunteer.
I'm so grateful for the opportunity to serve these little ones. They're like sponges soaking up the truths we share; this inspires me to teach them about God’s great love. Each Sunday as I drive to church, I pray for God to help the kids understand his love for them.
I love being a part of building a foundation for kids that will prepare them to follow Jesus. Thank you, North Point Community Church for affording me this opportunity. I'm forever grateful.
